Visit our Community Space

Explore our new public community space dedicated to assistive technology! During open hours, test out cutting-edge vision equipment, mobility devices, and other assistive tech options. Drop off or pick up used equipment like walkers, shower chairs, and commodes. Discover accessible video gaming with the Xbox Adaptive Controller. See 3D printing in action for creating assistive devices, and learn basic wheelchair repair and maintenance. Join us for a hands-on experience in the world of assistive technology.

Consider sending us an email to with the heading “Community Space Visit” or fill out the “Connect with TechOWL” form before you come visit so we know what you’re interested in learning about. That information will help us make sure the right person is there to answer your questions or demonstrate a device.

Find the Community Space

Our community space is located on the Temple University Campus. You can get here by car, bus, or subway. The address is 1392 Cecil B Moore Avenue.

If you are dropping items off, you can pull over along the storefront. Free 15-minute parking is available under the row of flags (see map). A paid visitor lot is also available down the street at 1223 Cecil B. Moore Avenue (see map).

The Community Space is made possible by a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Education and special consideration by Temple University.

The activities in the space are primarily funded by the federal Assistive Technology Act, overseen by the Administration for Community Living.
