Explore our new public community space dedicated to assistive technology! Drop by during open hours to try out the devices that interest you or to pick up free equipment from the donation program.

Community Space schedule:

  • Monday 10:00 AM-2:00 PM
  • Tuesday 1:00 PM-5:00 PM
  • Wednesday 10:00 AM-2:00 PM
  • Thursday 1:00 PM-5:00 PM
  • Other hours by appointment. Email

We’re excited to offer a variety of hands-on experiences in this space. Discover accessible video gaming, see 3D printing in action, or use our tools for basic wheelchair maintenance.

If there is a specific device you are interested in, consider emailing us ahead of time or filling out the “Connect With TechOWL” form so that we can arrange for you to meet with the best staff member to answer your questions!

Our address is 1392 Cecil B Moore Avenue. You can get here by car, bus, or subway.

If you are dropping items off, you can pull over along the storefront. Free 15-minute parking is available under the row of flags (see map). A paid visitor lot is also available down the street at 1223 Cecil B. Moore Avenue (see map).

The Community Space is made possible by a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Education and special consideration by Temple University.

The activities in the space are primarily funded by the federal Assistive Technology Act, overseen by the Administration for Community Living.
