Reachers help people who need help picking up and getting items that are otherwise out of reach in high or low places. Reachers can be used to pick up pills, pencils, shampoo bottles, socks, and many other household items.
What kinds of reachers are there?
Standard All-Purpose Reachers
Classic reachers have a variety of lengths, from 24 to 34 inches. They usually hold items between 1-5 pounds.
Raptor Reacher
This reacher is light weight and can grab large and small items including coins, newspapers, clothing and cans.
Omnigrip Reacher
This option requires very little hand strength to operate.
Three-Pronged Reacher
The Talon reacher has three claws instead of two. It is a great option for picking up items that are too big or difficult to hold with standard reachers.
Other Reachers
Some reachers are foldable for travel or storage. They might come with other features such as a flashlight or magnet on the end.
